Mr. Reece has been licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas since November 1980, the District of Columbia since June 1984, and the State of Hawaii since November 2003. He is also admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, the United States Tax Court, the United States Court of Military Appeals, and the United States District Court for the Western, Eastern, Southern, and Northern District of Texas, and the Hawaii District Court.

He has been certified as a criminal law specialist since December, 1985 by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has handled numerous criminal cases in federal and state court in both Texas and Hawaii. Mr. Reece has also handled a number of capital murder trials and appeals in Texas. Mr. Reece has served as a deputy prosecuting attorney both in Texas and Kona, Hawaii.

Mr. Reece has also served as an adjunct professor of law at Trinity University, and a prosecutor in both Texas and Hawaii. Mr. Reece received an LLM. (Legum Magister) in May of 2012 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. Mr. Reece graduated in May 1980 from the University of Baltimore School of Law with honors and in the top one percent of his law class.

He also studied law at the College of William and Mary, and St. Mary’s University, and recently at Williamette University’s Chinese Law Program in conjunction with East China University of Politics and Law, Hofstra University School of Law’s Curacao program, and Pacific McGeorge’s Salzburg Law program. Mr. Reece interned in 2012 in Accra, Ghana with a law firm as part of his LLM program at Pacific McGeorge.

He received several American Jurisprudence Book Awards for the highest class grade at the University Of Baltimore School of Law, William and Mary and St. Mary’s University. He graduated May 1977 with honors from Virginia Wesleyan College with a B.A. in Biology, and also studied at the College of William and Mary, Hampden-Sydney College, Universite de Grenoble in France and Old Dominion University.
